On September 11, 1998, the Brooks Food Bank was incorporated as a Non-Profit Foundation to provide food assistance services to the residents in the City of Brooks and the County of Newell.
Programs
Hamper Program
Full Food Hampers are given to qualifying clients on a 6-week cycle.
Hampers are appointment only. Call (403) 793-2535 to book an appointment.
Clients should be prepared to provide a Bank Statement, Proof of Residence, and Identification upon request.
Holiday Hamper Program
Working with the Brooks Scotiabank Branch, the Food Bank will supply eligible families with complete hampers for Christmas Day.
These hampers include enough food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert.
Registration begins mid-November and runs separate to the regular hamper program cycle.
Basics for Babies
The Food Bank will supply Diapers, Wipes, and Baby Food to parents in need.
No appointment necessary. Availability may fluctuate depending on current supply.
